"In a charming shop in the heart of Paris, the Master makes the most wonderful puppets... but doesn't want to sell them to anyone. The landlord is unhappy because he doesn't get any rent and he needs money. The buyers want to buy dolls to give to their children. The children want the dolls because... because they are children. Dolls long for someone to buy them so they can love them and enjoy them. But some of them are afraid they might fall into the hands of bad children. Two of the dolls are in love, and if they were separated, they could never live again. The apprentice wants to keep his job and help everyone. But how could he, when their desires are so contradictory?" is how Maria Doneva briefly tells the story in the play.
And adds what the message of "The Fantasy Shop" is : "I hope the story reads clearly and conveys ideas I believe in wholeheartedly. That when a person works skillfully, dedicatedly and inspired, they also put a part of their soul into their work. That those who love each other should not be separated. That when we have a strong desire for something, we should listen to others, know how to wait, be patient. That we must trust. That not everything can be bought with money. That there is beauty and happiness for everyone."
